Weekly Communion
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper each week as a vital part of our liturgy. The Lord’s Supper is a means of grace—a sacred gift from Christ that nourishes our faith, unites us to Him, and strengthens us as His covenant people (John 6:55-56, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17). Practicing it weekly reflects both the early church’s pattern (Acts 2:42) and the Reformed tradition’s emphasis on the regular use of this sacrament to sustain us in Christ. This is rooted in our dependence on His sustaining presence, as taught in the Westminster Confession of Faith (Chapter 29, Sections 1 and 7), where believers feed spiritually on Christ and receive the benefits of His death. We do this to proclaim His death until He returns, renew our covenant commitment, and experience the joy of fellowship with God and one another.
